We have laying hens!
This is our first ONE DOZEN eggs. Aren't they so pretty? They're on the small side. But each time they lay, the eggs get a bit bigger every time.
This is happiness...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
Your first dozen! How exciting. What are you going to do with them? What's your favorite egg dish? I can't wait to see it!
Love!
ahhhh, nothing better than home grown eggs, did you know they are lower in cholesterol than shop bought?
AND you get free weeding and pest control if you let the chooks roam, along with free fertiliser, win win!
so cool. one of our chicks laid a HUGE egg this morning. have you ate one yet?
Congratulations to you and 'the girls' on your first dozen!
Lovely, lovely! I bet you hate to break and eat them! LOL. Pack 'em with the small end down, they'll stay fresh longer. There's an air bubble in the larger end. Awww, you probably already know all that.
Perfect!!
HipHip-HOORAY!! Dozen of brown goodness. When we got the ladies, my criteria was: brown eggs and chickens that weren't white. Silly...
Thanks to the comment above.. I had no idea.
Prettiest eggs ever! Have you eaten any of them? How'd you fix them?
Congratulations! You must be bursting. If I haven't already told you, we have a little thing we do here, where the girls and I each kiss our eggs before we crack them.
We just give them a little smooch and then whack. It's a little prayer of thanks up to have such a gift!
It started on a whim and now it's just commonplace.
gorgeous
