We had a garage sale today. And we're having it again tomorrow.
I am wiped out. Seriously.
So...for today...I only have enough energy to share a photo I snapped of the garden yesterday. This is from the chickens point of view...just beyond reach.
Loving your pictures - the chickens bathing cracks me up, 'cause you know that's what they're thinking.
Garage sales are exhausting. I don't know about you, but the last garage sale I had, I made about $1.73 per hour with the time spent getting ready, the sale time, and the clean-up. I haven't done one since. I'm worn out just thinking about it...
I'm glad you didn't post a garage sale photo...I would have been sad to miss it. We've had several garage sales over the years...DH says our motto is "Buy High, Sell Low." LOL
My sister and I once held a garage sale. Years ago. We made the huge mistake of putting up signs at something like 5 a.m. People were lining up. It's sort of funny as I look back on it, but it sure wasn't funny at the time. We were racing like wild chickens to get things out on the lawn for these early birds. (Who in their right mind goes hunting for garage sales at 5 or 6 a.m.?!)
"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.'" ~Erma Bombeck
11 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. -1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
I am on a quest to learn as much as I can about God, life, growing food and sustaining our lives in a way that is healthy and less invasive to our environment.
