I stopped at the thrift store the other day...

...and look what I found?!

Good stuff! I found a large pottery bowl, actually more like crockery since it's so thick...a small utensil crock to add to my unintentional collection of crocks...and a sweet little teacup. I loved the flowers inside the rim...I couldn't leave it behind. Guess what my grand total was? Are you ready? $6. Yes. I said SIX DOLLARS. For ALL of it.
Don't you just love thrifting? And to think...I almost didn't stop because it was pouring down rain so bad that day. Good thing I don't mind the rain, huh?!

Just curious - is there a makers mark on the bottom of the teacup? It looks like a certain pattern...

You make me want to go thrifting...almost...

I honestly don't know why anyone buys new Made in China....all these beautiful vintage dishes and linens....they are my weakness..

I love that crockery bowl. That red stripe gives it just a little bit of pizazz.
Noticed the cup in your post yesterday; it reminded me of one my grandmother used.

I miss thrifting. I rarely have time out without my boys and taking three boys into my favorite antique shops, well....you can imagine!!

I do still manage to sneak out once and awhile though.....

Love all of these. I must do this soon, I need some interesting bowls for photos. Stuff gets boring around here since it's always in a white bowl.

Oooh, I LOVE thrift stores! Where could you find such treasures other than a thrift store? I love the thrill of the hunt, and nothing energizes me like putting something old to new use. Way to go, Michelle!

The thrill of the hunt... isn't it wonderful?! You never know what you're going to find! You, my dear, scored BIG! I love every one of these items.

Oh and by the way, I was visiting Leigh over at Burbs and the Bees and saw your comment about treasures from years ago like those clip-on koalas. I just want you to know that I remember those!! :)
