"Just because the path is bumpy, doesn't mean you're on the wrong road."
5 My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not slipped.
6 I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.
The quote at the beginning of this post is from
resolved2worship. This woman has a faith that won't quit. She has seven children, including a newborn, and still finds time to get quiet with God. Inspiring.
I read her blog last night and this quote, "Just because the path is bumpy, doesn't mean you're on the wrong road." leaped off of the page and deep into my heart and mind. My path has been bumpy...always, it seems. If it's not one thing, it's another. And I know I'm not alone in this. And I know that others have it worse than I do. And I know it's not all about me. And I know that a lot of the bumps have been brought on by poor choices. But sometimes, I just wish that things would go smoothly.
As the scripture says, someday things
will go smoothly, when Jesus returns. But until then, the path will be bumpy. It will be rough...and slippery. But that doesn't mean I'm on the wrong road. Life
will not be easy and the road
will be bumpy. The bible says so. But the good news is...I'm not walking that road alone.
Thank you, God, for walking this journey with me.
