The day that got away.

I didn't get near enough laundry done today. And I didn't get the groceries picked up...yet. (I plan on grabbing a few essentials on my way to pick Seth up from his friends house.) I didn't get the house dusted. Or vacuumed.

But I did go to the vegetable stand with my mom. She called unexpectedly and invited me along...said she'd be here in ten minutes...I was ready! I got two big bags of produce for $10. Not bad.

I also got some photos edited. I believe this is Cathedral Rock, the opposite side of El Capitan.

We took 472 photos...and probably 25% of them were lame and/or blurry. So I got rid of them and resized the rest.

These pictures were taken at dusk. We had taken a ride at the end of the day just to kill a little more time. We ended up at this spot on the Merced River and stopped to take a look. Turns out it was really beautiful...and good for some photo ops.

Chris took this next one...I love the reflection in the water against the almost-silhouette of the rocks.

Oh, and I didn't have to read 77 emails. I received 77 emails. 50 of which were garbage. It sounded way more impressive than it was.
So now it's almost 8:30pm and I've done a whole lot of nothing...hanging out with my mom not included. She's always fun to be with.
There's always tomorrow...right?

I meant to ask you this a.m. how the trip was! I was in a hurry to dash out the door and just replied to your post, but as soon as I left the house, I started wondering if you enjoyed it. Apparently the bears were not there this year!

Hanging out with your mom is a whole lot of something and probably the most important thing you could have done. Sounds like you enjoyed it. Mom's should always come before email and chores.

Beautiful. Just what I needed this morning. Going to have the National Parks all over again on Netflix. E. and I were smitten. He already planning these month long get-a-ways. Dreaming. Isn't it fun to dream? So glad you got to go...

Oh, welcome back, friend!

I can hardly wait to read all about your time. Any bears?

Lovely pictures, my friend.

I like the way you are easing back in to reality. No need to jump in with both feet.

Beautiful photos. Can't wait to hear more!
