Saturday...

Originally we had plans to be gone for the weekend. But those plans changed...and I am so glad. I don't think there's anything better than a long Saturday puttering around the house.
And puttering I will be. There's bedding to be washed and a bathroom to clean and bedrooms to dust and London broil to marinate and a floor to be mopped and blogs to read (like how I threw that in there...like it's a MUST?) and a car to gas up and picnic items to gather for tomorrow's trip to the beach...lots to do. But none of it pressing...just regular house stuff that I can do while listening to The Food Network in the background. Nice. Not to mention...the weather is beautiful today. Cool breeze...finally. And it's supposed to be like this all week. I'm so glad...what a nice reprieve from the triple digits we've been having.
So that's my exciting weekend. What have YOU got planned?

A quick run to the farmer's market to buy more red bell peppers to freeze. Brother and his wife here for lunch- homemade pizza, applesauce and raw sliced red peppers with cobbler for dessert. Later this afternoon, hopefully a nap. Tonight, roasting tomatoes and tomorrow, church and my weekly phone call to my mom. I like weekends at home, too. Enjoy the rest of yours:-).

I did my walking routine with my sweet friends. 3.5 miles to Starbucks. 2 hours in the sun on their patio. Then 3.5 miles home. I absolutely LOVE that routine. I only get 2 more days of it......

I'm working at the State Fair this afternoon, in the wine garden.

Yesterday was a trip to Tahoe. Beautiful.

Sunday and Monday are relaxing days, because the Good Lord knows I need to learn how to relax a little. ;o)

Enjoy!!!

Productive day today ~ cleaning, laundry, groceries and food prep. Tomorrow, a family reunion on my mother's side. Will be fun to see some of the cousins. A neighborhood party tomorrow night under the stars. Monday will be spent outside enjoying the beautiful weather, cleaning out flower beds, pots, etc. and then dinner out with my hubby to celebrate our 18th anniversary. A good weekend.

I was supposed to be cleaning. Somehow I just ended up playing with magazines instead.

And seeing Julie and Julia. Cried. Big baby.
