I'm a non recipe user too, so if I stumble on something good, I panic too and try to take mental notes on what I did exactly so I can recreate it later!
Also, if you really like oatmeal, and tea (I'm a HUGE tea person) you should try making a bowl of oatmeal with hot teal instead of water. SO GOOD, and easy, obviously, just sort of unexpected! One of my fellow vegan friends turned me onto it, my favorite is earl gray oatmeal: pretty much what it sounds like, a bowl of oatmeal made with a nice piping hot mug of earl gray with the usual amount of milk you would add to the tea if you were drinking it, then just pour it in, stir, what have you...viola!
You can try really any tea you fancy, the possibilities are endless, and you could discover something really good, plus keep the oatmeal from getting boring!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16871930010168619872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6065523489084216043.post-39460441537785459642010-01-21T12:11:08.452-08:002010-01-21T12:11:08.452-08:00your meals all sound so good. and, i just saw tha...your meals all sound so good. and, i just saw that immersion blender trick this week on one of the food channel shows - i think it was giada.

it is good you told everyone your plans. now, everyone will be asking you about it and like you said - keeping you accountable.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6065523489084216043.post-18720951942491509402010-01-21T11:45:47.683-08:002010-01-21T11:45:47.683-08:00Huh. I never would have guessed that about you......Huh. I never would have guessed that about you... that you don't necessarily stick with things. I actually don't think it's quite accurate. Maybe you see the things you quit more than you see the things you do complete. I used to think that about myself too... now I try to view myself more accurately by giving myself credit for the things I do finish. Just a thought...

And about the accountability thing... brilliant. That's the same reason I started blogging about running. I'll hold you to it... do the same for me, 'kay? :-)Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18006432359994665554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6065523489084216043.post-76091516376519989182010-01-21T11:45:01.962-08:002010-01-21T11:45:01.962-08:00So many things to tell you! No quitting. Just think, though... there is an end - a DIPLOMA!!

Sounds like you are getting a lot of the same items in your CSA box. So far this week I made a Mediterranean Spinach and Leek Soup with potatoes (Tues.), Grilled Curry Chicken, Mashed Rutabagas and Turnips with Caramelized Onions, and tonight is Beef and Cabbage Soup - the wind is blowing like CRAZY down here in So. I make a stirfry served with rice that sounds similar to your cabbage/broccoli mix.

Sounds like a good first day at school.
