Friday...and that little giveaway I mentioned!

{I can't get enough of the Dogwood blossoms...amazing.}
First of all...thank you everyone for taking the time to vote in the poll and to brainstorm with me about selling my wares. It was extremely helpful to hear what others think. I tend to be pretty one-dimensional in certain areas...this being one of them. So...thank you for your input.
The Poll is now closed...and the results are as follows: The vote is for me to sell prints as well as note cards...in both sizes (mainly 5x7 but some said 8x10's, too)...and to sell them right here on my blog. And I have to say..."why didn't I think of that in the stinkin' first place?!!" I just figured Etsy was the place to sell all things handmade...and it is...but...Camilla raised some very good points. While Etsy is a fabulous place to buy handmade items...and to sell handmade items, too, if you have the time to really, really WORK it...it's maybe just not the best place for ME to sell my wares. And that is totally fine. I rather like the idea of creating my own little shop front! But for now, as I still need to raise money for Belgium, (money for airfare is needed THIS month! Yipes!) I will keep my Etsy shop open until I establish a shop front here on the blog.

So have I completely lost you yet? I feel like I'm all over the place! One idea after the other...this and that...but wait...let's do THIS instead! No...not that...THIS! Sheesh...no wonder I can't get a grip! I bet the whole idea of "piles" makes total sense to you, now, doesn't it? My MIND is full of them, too!

Anyway...as a thank you for your help, yet again, I spoke of a drawing! I offered up a 5x7 of one of my photographs to one the "voters" on the Poll as a token of gratitude for joining me on my crazy journey!
So...I wrote all of your names on strips of paper...rumpled them all up into little balls...and asked Ian to do the honors of choosing one lucky, little piece of rumpled up paper. And so he did...because he loves me...and he usually obeys me...but mostly...because he humors me!
So...without further adieu...the name on that little rumpled up piece of paper is...
CAMIE of Red Gate Gardens!!
Congratulations Camie! OK...so here's what you need to do. Go to my flickr account and choose the photo you'd like to have as a 5x7 print. If you want to narrow down the selection you can go right to the Note card Set! Or not. Whatever tickles your fancy...or as I said once when I was a little girl..."whatever tickles your fanny." What? I was a little! Not to mention...I never get those sayings right. Ask my mom. I say things like, "He doesn't know me from a hill of beans." or "They were all over me like a cheap suit."...although, that may be right. Is it? Oh I don't know. All I know is that Camie won a 5x7 print!! And Camie, to let me know which one you choose you can either come here and comment or send me an email to let me know!
And thanks again to everyone who helped me make this decision...
you are fun to brainstorm with!

I just love my cards and keep moving them around trying to decide to frame them together or apart.

Beautiful photo! I had to laugh at your problem with getting sayings right. I had a boss a few years ago who could never get them any near right but used them all the time. I meant to write down her "Lynda-isms," but never did. One of my faves from her that I still use to this day, "He's like a pit bull in a china shop." Another time she was complaining about her "cows hurting." Huh, we all thought? It was her calves.
